I can’t thank you enough!Max says the car runs like a dream, like it hasn’t run since we got it fixed. I think it probably was the carburetor all along. Anyway, he says it runs fantastic now, and he’s soooooo happy. He went to Cornell for the weekend for some big homecoming event, and every so often he texts me and tells me how great it is. Anyway, I owe you biggggg time, and whatever we owe on the car, just send me the bill. It’s fantastic. Tell Jose thanks a million, too. He’s amazing.

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for your company’s exceptional service. My car was one of the many casualties of the December 26th blizzard. I had to abandon my 2009 Camry (which I lease from you) in the middle of the street that night and walk home. I couldn’t get through to the Triple A that night, or the next day. When I finally did get through they said they didn’t have any towing services available. I tried for three days to get an independent towing company to tow the car but almost no one had trucks available, and if they did they wouldn’t come out to Queens because the streets were such a mess. I finally I called Penn Toyota., and they suggested that I call Al, the person they use for towing.
I found out that Al was located in Great Neck. I doubted that he would come out to Queens, with the roads still not plowed, but when I called he said he’d be there in a half hour! After three days of trying to get a tow with no success, Al was in Floral Park, Queens within 30 minutes, despite the terrible road conditions. He was unbelievable, and provided such relief!
A few days later, after inspecting the car, one of your service reps called me (on New Year’s Eve!) to let me know that I was going to need a new transmission, which could cost up to $4200. I’m a single mom and had just been unemployed for six months. I literally started a new job ten days before the storm, so having the car to get to work was vital to me, and a $4200 bill would be financially devastating. I spent the weekend worrying about this. I desperately needed the car but I could not afford a new transmission.
I decided to take a day off and go into Penn when they opened on Monday to see what my options were. My 80-year old mother has been taking her 1990 Camry to you for 20 years and she suggested that we talk to Larry, who has always helped her with her car. Larry brought Jimmy Miga over, who said that he had already contacted Toyota Corporate to see if the transmission would be covered under warranty. He said there were many cars with the same issue due to the storm so we just had to wait for an answer.
It turned out that my mother had to have her car’s radiator replaced that day, so we waited there for quite some time. While we were there, we met a man in the waiting room who told us that he had been coming to Penn for years, with several cars, because no other shop could compare. (He literally said “Jimmy Miga walks on water.”) We also met an 84-year old lady who lives by us in Floral Park. She said she travels to Penn for the same reason.
On a side note, when I moved to Floral Park after many years in Manhattan, I needed to lease a car rather quickly. Because of my mother’s experience at Penn I didn’t do any research. I decided to get a Toyota Camry because hers has held up so well, and I trusted the people at Penn Toyota because they have always done right by her. I went to Roslyn, told them that I needed to leave with a Camry that day, and I left with a 2009 Camry within a few hours.
Anyway, back to the waiting room……after we waited several hours I was getting very discouraged and wondering how I would manage everything I had to do without a car. Then Jimmy Miga came in and told me that Toyota was going to cover my transmission under warranty. I professed my gratitude, but he didn’t want to accept any responsibility for it – he said it was just a VIN number issue. But he was like an angel to me that day.
The transmission was fixed and when I picked up the car Kevin told me that I was the only one who was approved for a new transmission under warranty. I asked him why and he said Jimmy had a lot to do with it.
After about a week of driving the car, something didn’t seem quite right so I wrote to Jimmy and he said to bring it in for a test drive. I did, and the man who helped me fixed the minor issue within a half hour. The car is now running like new.
I apologize for the very long letter, but I want to make it very clear how grateful I am and I want you to know how exceptional your employees are. Whenever I called for assistance, someone always answered and Jimmy always got back to me. (He even gave me his cell phone number so I could reach him more easily.) He answered my emails at 9pm on a Friday night. A service rep called me at 5pm on New Year’s Eve to let me know what was going on with the car. They did their best to help me, and although they may have just been doing their jobs, it was extremely vital to me and my family.
Congratulations on finding such outstanding people, and retaining them for so many years. It’s very rare. I wish you many years of continued success.

He offered for Toyota to drive her home, my wife’s named is Maureen and going back about four years ago she was the manager of Barefoot Peddler and she always spoke so nicely about the men that came in from Penn. and I agree she was right…With all the trouble that Toyota has been having, I am so happy that I purchased a Toyota and look forward to bringing my car back to your service department…..Keep up the good work.

On my visit to Penn on Wednesday I finally got to meet you in person. I have known Mr. Penn since 1983 when we were in the same fishing club.
Prior to owning my cars I leased my cars from GMC (Van Buren) for about 9 years. That being said we were almost like family and had always treated great.
As you get older you tend to not like change. My experience at Penn has been great. I also feel that knowing Bobby, Chris and Larry and now you is also GOOD. LOLHope to see you soon with my other car.
Carol Poll BasseI want to bring to your attention the outstanding work of your sales associate, Mark Stechel. Yesterday we bought a Rav 4 Toyota from your dealership. I can honestly say a key factor was the outstanding work of Mark. He is a smart, kindly, responsive salesman. I fully appreciate that being a car salesman and being kindly and responsive is a difficult and demanding task.
My husband, Philip Basse, and I shopped at several other car dealerships for a variety of cars. We came back to Penn primarily due to Mark’s outstanding work. We wanted a dealership we could trust and that was responsive. Mark answered all our many questions and gave us time to talk to him and among ourselves. Mark worked beautifully with the sales manager Frank Ubriaco to finalize the price. He worked wonderfully with the business manager, Daniel Bronzino. Philip and I were very impressed with the team cooperation in helping us make the big decision of choosing the RAV4 at your car dealership.
Mark was great even after we bought the car. He worked with us in the rain to demonstrate all aspects of our new car. He said he would be available for further help as needed. I can see choosing your dealership and have Mark Stechel as our salesman was a very good decision. Thank you.

I had to write to commend your department after my recent, first experience with Penn Toyota’s service. I believe that I actually spoke by phone to you last Wednesday several times after my service had been performed, but I always believe in putting things (both good and bad) in writing. So, congratulations on a job VERY well done!
I should tell you that I leased two prior Toyotas from Star Toyota in Bayside. I live in Bayside, so they were the logical dealership for me to use. From day one, with the exception of only one particular service person, I felt I should check my wallet whenever I walked out of there. After several experiences, including one that cause me to actually retireve my car from them and take it to a local mechanic, who fixed a minor problem free of charge after Star said it would be hundreds of dollars, iI soon learned only to ask for the one person I could trust.That is not the type of place to which I like to give my business. When I wanted to turn in my last car in April of this year, the sales personnel were even nastier than the service personnel, so I came to Penn.
You can understand that when I brought my 2011 Camry in for its first service with your, I was a bit nervous. Not only were you all pleasant on the phone and when I appeared on the appointment date, but even the room in which I waited for the car was nicer than Star’s — nothing fancy, but clean, quiet and comfortable.
But then my experience became incredible. When the mechanic who worked on my car forgot to return the lug lock to the trunk, you sent Michael to my apartment to return it. This is the type of service we no longer hear of, and I want you to know I really appreciated it. He even acted as if it was his pleasure to help me in that way, and he insisted on opening the hood of the car to assure that everything was tightened properly and cleaned off after the oil change. What more could I ask for? Nothing. Thank you so much for restoring my faith in Toyota.

He had them re-inspected and they paid for the additional repairs. The vehicle was fix and restored back to showroom quality. Keep up the good work!

Vicki Blass, Floral Park, NYRecently I woke up to a very upsetting situation on the Saturday morning that my Toyota was scheduled for a recall at Greenvale Toyota. On the previous night, the tires on my car were slashed. My husband and I were at a total loss as to how to handle this since the car was not driveable and we were scheduled for the recall that morning at Toyota. Out of pure frustration and fond memories of how wonderful Toyota had been to us when we purchased the car, I called Toyota in the hope of getting some direction in dealing with this situation. Your employee, Laurie Guigliano, was a lifesaver for us. She listened to us explain the problem to her and then she did everything within her power to help us, with the utmost sensitivity to our feelings of vulnerability. It is seldom that I am so pleased and amazed at such wonderful customer service and I would like you to know how impressed both my husband and I were with Laurie Guigliano and the whole staff at Greenvale Toyota.
Once again, my husband and I will not hesitate to make out next car purchase a Toyota, due to the professional and caring customer service at Toyota.

We first dealt with Penn Toyota back in 1991 when we purchased a new Corolla. The 1991 Corolla was replaced with a new 1998 Camry, which was traded in last week when we leased the 2009 Camry. When our daughter Erin was in College, she leased a new Corolla which served her well for three years in Binghampton. When we turned in the lease, Erin bought a used 1997 Rav4 from your used car dept. She just replaced it and is leasing a 2009 Rav4. Our other daughter, Jacky, just purchased her first new car, a 2009 Corolla.
All our cars have only been serviced at Penn’s Service Dept. You and your staff are always courteous and professional. You care about the customer. We wouldn’t go anywhere else.
So, eight vehicles and many years later, we are still very satisfied customers.
